Each session is uniquely designed based on your goals, interests & needs. 

An Aston-Patterning® Session integrates a detailed exploration of your body's pattern (both in stillness and in motion and through palpation of tension patterns) to co-create a customized session, integrating hands-on bodywork, movement coaching and ergonomics to address your interests and goals. Here's what to expect from an Aston® Patterning Session.

A Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) Session increases lymphatic flow and movement of interstitial fluid into the lymphatic system.  In some cases, such as lymphedema or post-surgery, we may reroute lymph to other lymphatic watersheds to decrease swelling optimize lymphatic flow.  MLD is a very rhythmic and light touch modality.  It is extremely relaxing to dive into the inner ocean of your lymphatic system!  Manual Lymphatic Drainage can be integrated into other treatments as needed or desired.  Shelagh is a Certified Lymphedema Therapist through the Academy of Lymphatic Studies (ACOLS).  She is well-trained and experienced in working with clients managing lipedema, lymphedema, or at risk for developing lymphedema due to lymph node removal or other factors. 

An Integrated Therapeutic Massage Session is tailored to your interests and goals, integrating specific deep tissue work, neuromuscular therapy, manual lymphatic drainage, and Aston spiraling myofascial integration.  We will come up with a plan together before we begin.  The session may include one or more of the following modalities:

• Aston® Massage (Spiraling Fascial Integration) 

• Resistance-Release Work - Deane Juhan Method

• Deep Tissue

• Neuromuscular Therapy

• Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD)
